DAY 3 : SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

The whole day will be spent on a game drive in the Serengeti National Park. The areas you will visit depend upon the location of the herds. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south while during the longer rainy season from April to June they return up north. This circle of life is determined by the rainfalls and the locations of the herds might vary from year to year but your guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best. A visit to the Serengeti Visitor Centre is also possible. Here you can learn more about the history of the park and the research that is being done by the Frankfurter Zoological Society.

DAY 4: SERENGETI - NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast, your safari adventure continues into the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. In the Seronera Valley, you may be lucky enough to witness predators in action as wildlife gathers around the water sources during the dry season. Following a picnic lunch in the heart of the bush, your journey takes you towards the legendary Ngorongoro Crater.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with breathtaking views of this vast caldera—about 20 km wide and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Home to over 20,000 animals, the crater offers one of the most remarkable wildlife experiences in Africa. In the evening, you will settle into the Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp, perfectly positioned on the crater rim, where you can unwind and take in an unforgettable African sunset.

DAY 5 : NGORONGORO CRATER - ARUSHA/MOSHI

Rise and shine! After an early breakfast, you will descend the steep trail into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater—the largest unbroken and unflooded caldera in the world. This natural wonder offers an astonishing diversity of wildlife. Alongside vast herds of zebras and wildebeests, you may be fortunate enough to spot the rare black rhino and encounter Africa’s legendary “Big Five”: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard.

The crater is also home to hyenas, waterbucks, bushbucks, eland, and over 500 species of birds, making it a paradise for nature and photography enthusiasts alike. After an unforgettable game drive and a picnic lunch within the crater, you will begin your journey back to Arusha in the early afternoon, arriving by evening with memories to last a lifetime.
