DAY 1 :ARUSHA /MOSHI - LAKE MANYARA
DAY 2 : LAKE MANYARA - SERENGETI
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you leave the lush highlands behind, the landscape opens into the vast plains of the Serengeti—the heart of wild Africa. Your journey takes you to the renowned Seronera region, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. The Seronera River provides a year-round water source, attracting an impressive variety of species and offering excellent game-viewing opportunities. You’ll arrive in time for a picnic lunch, followed by an exciting afternoon game drive in the Serengeti.
DAY 3 : FULL GAME DRIVE IN SERENGETI
After breakfast, set out for a morning game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which winds through the plains south of the Seronera River. This area is excellent for spotting lions, Thomson’s gazelles, topi, ostriches, and cheetahs. Afterward, a visit to the Serengeti Visitor Centre, located near the Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is highly recommended—it offers fascinating insights into the park’s ecosystem and wildlife.
In the afternoon, explore the Kopjes Circuit, which loops around the Maasai Kopjes. These striking granite outcrops often attract lion prides and can even be home to large cobras. The kopjes, with their shaded crevices and rain-filled rock pools, create unique micro-ecosystems that sustain wildlife during the dry season. They are especially rewarding for observing lions as they wait in ambush for animals approaching to drink.
DAY 4 : SERENGETI - NGORONGORO CRATER
After an early breakfast at the lodge, set out on a morning game drive in the Serengeti as you make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, carrying a packed lunch to enjoy en route. Along the way, you’ll stop at the world-famous Olduvai Gorge, often referred to as the “Cradle of Mankind.” This remarkable site is where anthropologists Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey unearthed the fossilized remains of Nutcracker Man and Handy Man—two of the most important discoveries in human evolution. By afternoon, you’ll continue your journey and arrive at your lodge in Ngorongoro in time to relax and enjoy some leisure.
DAY 5 : SERENGETI - ARUSHA /MOSHI
After breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the crater. Thanks to its permanent water sources and lush grazing, the crater sustains an incredible diversity of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and elephants. You’ll also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern part of the crater, famous for attracting large flocks of flamingos, as well as hippos and a variety of other water birds.
In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at Arusha Airport or another preferred location in Arusha/Moshi—marking the end of your unforgettable African safari adventure.
